Interviews
dv: It’s a pleasure talking to you. As you know, I've been a big fan since I first came across your site. Tell people where you're currently located and whether you have any travel plans for the balance of 2017. Are you coming to see me in Vancouver?
OVR: Hi dickie. I am Chicago based but tour occasionally in NYC and San Francisco with plans to visit Las Vegas in the near future and, perhaps, even Vancouver. I plan to head back to NYC, SF and Vegas mid summer through the fall season of this year.
dv: Is Chicago where you began your career, and if not, what took you to that part of the world?
OVR: Indeed. Chicago has been my home since immigrating from Europe as a child.
dv: Cool, geat city. Maybe I'll come visit you! Were you an aspiring Dominatrix in your childhood days? If we went back in time, would you be shocked to learn that your future centered around disciplining men? What were you like back in high school?
OVR: I have always had powerful erotic and theatrical inclinations as a young creature, but those were leans I instinctively downplayed throughout much of my childhood/teen years for good reasons. I was in touch with my 'secret self', and always very aware that I would transform into a character where sex and power were central to my adult narrative. My high school years were challenging, and wrought with classic teenage strife. I was painfully awkward and shy. Books, Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven were my only consolation.
dv: That's hard to imagine but of course people change a lot after the difficult high school years, and you clearly have, much to the delight of subs everywhere. What was your initial introduction to the scene and how did it evolve into your decision to practise this as a profession?
OVR: My first formal literary introduction took place while reading the Sleeping Beauty erotic trilogy by Anne Rice. In practice, I engaged in some light switch play with my very first boyfriend who ended the relationship by telling me how horrible I was at domination. Months later I began switching professionally - I wasn't going to allow a failed first relationship to dictate my aptitude or diminish my motivation. Once I felt comfortable, my secret self emerged and catapulted me to the place I find myself in today.
dv: I hope he returned as a paying customer, lol. Who would you consider your heroes in the business and who have been mentors?
