    As a practitioner of Erotic Hypnosis, it's distressing to know that several well known sites in the adult biz will not permit hypnosis clips, hypnosis phone sex calls or hypnosis cam shows.  Rather than naming these sites here on Dickie Virgin, I figure most blog readers know that hypnosis became stigmatized as a huge no-can-do on a large clips site and a large (but thankfully not the largest) phone sex mega site. On those sites, a clips artist or  studio or Erotic HypnoDomme can playfully tap dance around hypnosis by calling it something alternative.  I've seen listings and clips which infer hypnosis by cleverly stating:  enchantment, mutual meditation, guided imagery, etc.
     
    The major theory which was discussed re: this unilateral banning of hypnosis was a trickle down policy due to the sites' credit card payment processors deciding to terminate their involvement with billing for hypnosis content.  In this case, it was assumed that the payment processors deemed erotic hypnosis to be "non-consensual".  However, I feel there was a larger confluence that impacted the decision of the credit card processors.  One:  The policy-making staff at these merchant banks truly did not understand how hypnosis works and, therefore, they considered it to be non-consensual. Two:  There may have been a large charge back trend in hypnosis clips, hypno calls or cam shows which literally forced the merchant banks to amend their policy regarding the handling of transactions of hypnosis content.  So, in essence, the customers who patronized these sites and charged back for purchases of hypnosis files, clips or calls, may have created an untenable situation for merchant banks to bear.  Now, no one patronizing those particular sites can enjoy their hypnosis fetish and purchase hypno media from those sources.  Was this due to buyers remorse when credit card statements arrived?  Or was this due to wives who found out their hubbies were being hypnotized and their hubbies couldn't have been in control of their spending if they had been in a trance and had no control over their spending?  
     
    Since most of the practitioners of erotic hypnosis are women, did this decision make any HypnoDommes here feel like there was somewhat of a witch hunt factor at play?  Those "in power" at these large banks wouldn't want women to become too powerful and control men's minds after all {tsk tsk}.   Time will tell if more censorship or banning of specific niches in video clips, phone domination calls or cam shows (other than those already on the no-can-do list on most major sites) will arise.  Especially, if there is an abundance of charge backs in a specific niche combined with a movement to suppress Femdom power over men.  Ultimately, what men are purchasing is entertainment in the form of whatever media format they choose.  Banks should recognize that those who purchase the entertainment are doing so of their own free will and choose to be so entertained.
     
    There are skyrocketing charge backs in other high risk industries outside of adult, such as psychic lines, herbal supplements, online dating, foreign pharmaceuticals, telemarketing, travel including airlines and hotels, debt collection and credit repair.  Yet, the adult industry continues to bear the scarlet letter.
