sb: Mistress Isabella, thank You very much for this interview. Please tell us a little about Your background. Are You originally from California?
MI: No, I'm a southern belle from Alabama.
sb: How Were You introduced to The SM Scene?
MI: While I was making my boyfriends do things that would be considered SM activities when I was in my teens, I wasn't introduced to the "Scene" until 1992 in New York when I met a girl wearing fetish clothes and asked her where she got them. It just so happens she worked as a submissive in a club. We became friends and I told her my interests were as a dominant and she took me to a few stores and clubs and I was hooked.
sb: Where did You start Professionally?
MI: Although I went to work at another SM establishment first, I wouldn't call it professional. It was poorly run in My opinion and I hated it so I only stayed a couple of months. It didn't have the level of class that I was looking for so I left and then I found My home at the Nutcracker Suite in New York and stayed there for several years until I moved to Los Angeles.
sb: Yes the Nutcracker is a great place and Mistress Domino really runs a great house there! This might seem like a dumb question because You look so forceful and authoritative to me, but were You ever submissive?
MI: I've been dominant for as long as my memory serves dating back to my early teens. I am too much of a natural dominant and I absolutely hate to be in pain so it's not something that interests me.
sb: How old were You when You started Professionally?
MI: 21 years old.
sb: Did You train under someone?
MI: No. Looking back, I realize that I was a natural. However, I did understand the responsibilities that go along with being a Professional Dominatrix and therefore took into upon myself to learn about BDSM activities. My methods primarily consisted of watching other people work at various clubs, such as the Hellfire, reading books, and videos. MI: Start a non-profit after-school of art and music program for underprivileged children, disadvantaged Youth and children with learning disabilities. It wouldn't take 10 million to do but that would ensure the lifetime of the program.
sb: What is the one thing in the world that really gets You mad?
MI: When someone attempts to stifle my livelihood. Also, if children are ever injured or abused... now that really pisses me off.
